Farmers Movement activist allegedly gang-raped by 6 major farm movement activists and later got infected with Covid-19 and succumbed to death severe complications. The women traveled from West Bengal to participate in the movement running at Tikri Border, Delhi.
The woman was admitted to the Shivam Hospital four days after her death which was reportedly caused due to Covid-19 related complications.
An FIR is lodged at Bahadurgarh police station by the victim’s father against the accused people namely Anoop and Anil Malik who runs the “Kisan Social Party” and is currently participating in the protest against three farms laws.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha said in a statement that the woman was attacked by the suspect on her way to Delhi and after arriving at the Tikri Border. A week later, she developed the symptoms of Covid-19 as high fever and found tested positive with Covid-19. On April 30th, she succumbed due to Covid-19 related severe complications.
Meanwhile, Haryana police on Sunday set up a special DSP-led SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate the matter after the woman's father claimed she was raped when she went to the border area.
However, the farmer's protest is resulting in a tense atmosphere as the leaders are enjoying and getting what they want but, the protestors are suffering a lot as the protest needs to be Called off till the Covid-19 situation persists. The apex court or the Delhi Court need to interfere in this matter as it is the question of public safety.
Therefore, the protest is showing harsh realities with each passing day. The protest needs to be called off by the Leaders of the farm protest as their biggest duty is to protect their followers and serve for the betterment of the country.
