The Haryana Police said in their statement that the BKU leader Rakesh Tikait and 12 of his organization mates violated the order passed by the Harayana government to safeguard the state from the Pandemic. The Police further said “ASI Chandi Singh warned Tikait and his mates not to hold the “maha panchayat” as Section 144 is enforced in the district.”
“However, BKU leader went ahead and organized the event,” the senior police official said in the statement.
“They violated the order under Section 144 (assembling four or more people at one place), under section 188 of IPC (order duly promulgated by the public servant) that is by the district magistrate, Section 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), Section 270 (malignant act likely to infection of disease dangerous to life),” the senior police official said in the statement.
Earlier, the District Magistrate in view of increasing Covid-19 cases bars the assembly of 4 and more people at the same place.
Therefore, this type of negligent behavior by the reputed personality is really very outrageous especially in this harsh situation of the Pandemic.
