New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' today launched the ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 17 May.
The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy of Technical Education Regulatory, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is an initiative that inspires and trains faculty members of AICTE approved institutions.
It offers faculty development programs under which training is imparted in various core areas.
As part of the launch, the Minister of Education inaugurated 15 FDPs developed by the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy.
ATAL Academy has already conducted 185 offline FDPs in 2019-20 and 948 online FDPs in 2020-21 and trained over 1 lakh faculty members from researchers and CBSE teachers to postgraduate students and industry people across the country. . In view of Covid-19, the academy plans to conduct 971 programs online for 2021-22.

It offers a unique faculty development program under which training is imparted in various core areas.
The council has informed that the academy is conducting various FDPs in the emerging areas of data science, cyber security, quantum computing, 3D printing and designing, artificial intelligence, AR / VR, robotics and the Internet of Things.
AICTE President Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe, Vice President Prof MP Poonia, Member Secretary Prof Rajeev Kumar and Director of Atal Academies Dr RK Soni were also present at the event.
