Tika Utsav: PM Modi Declares Second War Against Covid-19, Encourages Vaccination

Corona-Virus is right now in a disastrous stage as India constitutes more than 1.1 million active cases of the pandemic and a record-breaking surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country. India witnessed the arrival of the second wave as India records more than 1 Lakh cases on the 5th day in a row.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new initiative “Tika Utsav” to start a second big war against the Pandemic. The “Tika Utsav” begins on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on April 11 and will continue till April 14 which is marked as the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhim Roa Ambedkar.

In this campaign, the main motive is to vaccinate maximum people at a mass level to stand strongly against the Pandemic. PM Modi said that “each one, vaccinate one”, “each one, treat one”, “each one, save one”. PM Modi further added that India should also move towards the zero vaccine wastage program and said “Dawai bhi or Kadai bhi” at the end of the speech.

Under this initiative, over 6000 covid-19 Vaccination centers have been set up in the UP as CM Yogi urged people to join the campaign if they are eligible for the vaccination drive whereas several stocks of vaccine exhausted in the Visakhapatnam. 

Thus, this vaccination campaign is launched to encourage people towards the vaccination as Covid-19 is at the peak and to eradicate the effect of the pandemic countrymen needs to be vaccinated at a mass level and must follow the guidelines issued by the ICMR or Health Ministry.
