SLL reduced the Covishield price by 25% now it is available for Rs 300. Adar Poonawala Chief Executive Officer of Serum Institute of India decided to cut the price of the Covid-19 vaccine Covishield to ensure smooth procurement to the states. This step has been taken for the states.

On the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the pharmaceutical companies, this step has been taken to ensure more people to approach to take part in the vaccination drive.

The vaccination drive of the country is going to enhance the eligibility to be vaccinated from May 1 where the vaccination is available for the age group of 18-45 which constitutes the largest proportion of the population in the country. The government on the advice of the nationwide Doctors reduced the price so that it became available at a low cost as well.

Earlier, the SII vaccine was not that trusted because it causes the death of many people in recent days. The reports said that this vaccine blocks the artilleries and veins (through which the blood passes) by creating a blood clot in the human body which causes a heart attack or sudden death. On that several Doctors put their views forward and said that they first have to examine the body type and later they will suggest the vaccination. They further stated that the vaccination causes blood clot is not a big thing it’s normal.

Thus, the vaccination process is going to trigger at a faster pace as more and more people came up to be vaccinated to conquer the Pandemic. India records 360960 fresh cases and 3293 people deceased in a single day highest since the outbreak of the Pandemic.
