Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) on Thursday announced a 15-day suspension of its production on all four of its crops from May 1 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases and multiple closures in various cities.
A press statement from the company said Honda would use the production stop to advance its annual crop conservation activities. Depending on COVID's changing nature and market recovery, Honda will be reviewing its production plan in the coming months.
Honda 2 Wheelers India has its production facilities at Manesar in Haryana, Tapukara in Rajasthan, Narsapura in Karnataka and Vithalapur in Gujarat.
In addition, all Honda office partners will continue to Work-From-Home to maintain business continuity while providing all possible support to customers and business partners. Only key staff members will work in all our plants and various offices across the country, the media statement said.
