India witnessed a massive spike in Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Cases account for 145384, whereas 794 people deceased due to the Pandemic. Active cases also crossed the 1 million line.
CM Udhav called an all-party meet at the end of the day to
discuss the Covid-19 Crisis in Maharastra. Maharastra government believes that
lockdown is essential in these tougher times as covid-19 cases in the state
solely account for 60% in India whereas the Gujarat government denied placing
lockdown. Several other states witnessed an immense rise in Covid-19 cases like
UP, Delhi, and Chattisgarh and placed night curfew. South India is also
severally impacted by the Covid-19 cases as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka
more than 8000 cases in every state.
On the other hand, the Bihar government yet not taken any
major step about increasing Covid-19 cases.
Doctors in the country are also severely attacked by the
Covid-19 as Delhi AIIMS found 32 positive within a week and it was also said
that they are already vaccinated. Several doctors at Gangaram Hospital also
tested positive. These types of incidents decrease the confidence in the public
for the Vaccine.
Vaccination is also at a very higher rate as around 10
Crore people vaccinated till now. Many states flagged concern about the
shortage of vaccines as Maharastra and Punjab government take a pinch at the
center that the central government is doing discrimination with the opposition
by not providing them sufficient amount of vaccine. Many news were also coming
that the vaccine is not even safe and due to the vaccination several people
died.
Therefore, we can say that there are a lot of challenges
this year also. Vaccination drive is quite impressive but fails to deliver the
perfect results.
