BJP Vehemently made a promise regarding the applicability of CAA from July in their
Manifesto of Bengal whereas in Assam they are not discussing CAA at all. HM
Shah in an interview said that India is ready to provide food and healthcare
facilities for the needy ones of Myanmar but they will not let them enter into
the boundaries as it hampers the nation’s security. On the other hand, the Kerela
CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Rahul Gandhi slammed BJP over CAA in the final phase of
the election in Kerala. This move is believed to target the minority votes.
PM
Modi while campaigning in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections visited the Matua
Matriarch Boro Maa Binapani Devi to seek her blessings. Contested her grandson
Shantanu Thakur from Bongaon with an eye for getting Matua votes. BJP succeeded
in their move and wins the seat for the very first time. In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK
is also not happy with the newly amended citizenship law whereas DMK targeting
the votes of minorities by campaigning against the controversial law.
Muslims
are safe in their own motherland whereas other religions in these countries are
alienated as these countries don’t follow the policy of Secularism. There were
many cruelties faced by the minorities in these countries like forceful
conversion, destruction of religious centers, looting their property is very
common. The reports also said that the minority population is declining due to
communal violence and forced conversions.
Assam
has 3rd largest Muslim population in India. The Assamese believe that through
CAA their citizenship got hampered whereas the Matua population in Bengal
region believe that if BJP comes into power they will fulfill the longstanding
demand of attaining permanent citizenship for the Matua refugees. Assamese fear
that they are going to stay in detention camps built by the central government
whereas the central government declined this statement.
Therefore,
it is clear that these laws will be functional one day definitely as there is
nothing wrong with this. CAA is just meant for giving citizenship to religious
persecuted minorities from Neighboring countries not taking it.
