Jailed Ex Bihar CM and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav granted bail in Fodder Scam Case from Jharkhand High Court. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu was serving his sentence in Dumka Treasury Case as he was convicted of withdrawal of around 3.13 Crore from the Dumka treasury with the help of Bihar Animal Husbandry department officers.
Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh said that the Bihar RJD leader granted bail on some conditions that the RJD leader Lalu is not allowed to leave the country, change the address and Phone Number during the bail period.
Lalu Yadav is currently hospitalized in Delhi AIIMS for treatment as his condition was got worsens in the jail. Previously he got bail on 3 out of 4 cases which are also related to the Fodder Scam. Since December 2017, Lalu Prasad Yadav was residing in Jail.
In Lalu’s absence, last year in which the Bihar legislative elections held Tejasvi Yadav (Son of Lalu Prasad Yadav) performed pretty well and his party succeeded in getting a single-party majority but his alliance fails to make government, as a result, NDA got majority and formed the government.
Thus, in absence of Lalu Prasad RJD looks a bit weaken in the last several elections as Lalu mark his return his party can be expected to be more strengthened under his leadership. During jail days he was interiorly involved in the election process as from the jail he makes many arrangements for the party during election campaigning.
