India’s social media ‘not aligned with U.S. views on freedom of speech’: White House

Twitter had removed over 50 posts at the behest of the government in recent days. Most of these were critical of the Centre – including mass gatherings like the Kumbh Mela, a shortage of beds and medicines, and so forth.

Twitter has removed more than 50 posts from its site following instructions from the Indi government.

Biden officials say Modi's government directive to remove content from social media criticizing New Delhi's management of the COVID-19 outbreak was inconsistent with U.S. views. With freedom of speech.

"Yes, that certainly would not be in line with our vision of universal freedom of speech," the White House News Secretary said in a statement on Monday in response to a question about government action.
 

Twitter has removed more than 50 posts as ordered by the government in recent days. Many of these were critical of the Center - including crowded gatherings such as Kumbh Mela, lack of beds and medicines, and so on.

While the USA must not try to act over smart over other countries internal matters especially in the matters of internal security amid Pandemic where, the pace of fake news is doubled and the repercussions of fake news are already being suffered in the Country.

There is no Universal structure of freedom of speech every country is free to keep it's policies centric to its circumstance. Nobody is obliged to follow a straight path of a Right.
