"The bodies of two people have been recovered so far and teams have been sent back to the scene of the encounter to recover the bodies and search for the missing," he said.
A day after the encounter with Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma, 22 security forces were reported Martyred and 32 injured.
State Director General of Police DM Awasthi said on Sunday, " several personnel of security forces are missing exact number is not disclosed yet. So far we have recovered the bodies of two personnel . The Teams have been sent back to the encounter site to recover and search for the missing."
Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhubaneswar on Sunday and directed the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Kuldeep Singh to visit the encounter site. Mr. Bagal will return to Chhattisgarh from Assam who went there for election campaigning.
On Saturday, five security personnel, including two from the CRPF, were killed and more than a dozen others were injured in clashes with Naxalites in Sukma district. It is said that two Naxalites were killed and the body of a female cadre was recovered from the site of the encounter.
